I told Bryan today that snow is beautiful but I am ready for some sunshine! When we got up Monday morning the snow was everywhere. The kids were so excited and could not wait to get out in it! Bryan took the kids out late that morning and they measured the snow...5 inches!! I have to say the kids did have a great time playing in the snow. Then on Tuesday the snow was still there so the kids got to play in it another day! We bundled those babies up and sent them out to play! They actually built a TALL snow man yesterday, but it was not the prettiest so I did not take a picture (I think they were done once they got it built....there was no nose, eyes or scarf, just 3 balls of snow)! Today there is still snow but it is more like hard chuncks of ice today. It still looks like a winter wonderland around here. The roads are drivable so that helps. We did have a small friend who liked the snow, a rabbit. He was so far down in the snow the kids thought at first it was a shoe or something they had lost while out playing. When I opened the back door that little rabbit took off, he was FAST!!

Pregnancy update: I am 39 weeks today. No baby yet! Hope to post over the weekend and let you all know that this baby has come!! We could not be anymore excited! I just feel like a sitting duck. I have had some contractions and we will think "this is it" and then nothing! I am thankful that this baby hasn't came yet, I want our parents to be here and I do need to do a few more things. I will keep you posted!

Pregnancy update....

I went to the Dr. yesterday and had some progress!! I am 38 weeks and 3 days today. The baby's heart beat was around 160 and everything is going great! I wanted to know for sure that the baby was head down so the Dr. did a quick sonogram and I got to see this cutie and I loved it!! I saw his/her nose, mouth and hand. I just can't believe that this baby will be here soon...I mean real soon!! Last week I had some really BAD contractions, more than just practice contractions that I normally feel. Thursday night I even had one that started in my lower back and then it went around to my lower abdomen and was hard. When I went in Friday I was a 3 1/2 cm and 60-70 % thinned!! WOW!! So Bryan has been really watching me and making sure he knows what is going on (contractions). I still don't see me going on my own because I never have before, but they say this could be the one! I have been working today to get some things done around here so that if this little blessing decides to come soon I will be prepared as much as possible. If no baby is here next week then we will induce. I will do my best to keep our blog updated and let you know what is happening! We covet your prayers!!

Pregnancy update....

I went for my Dr. appt this past Thursday and all is well!! Yay! I will be 38 weeks tomorrow and this pregnancy is almost over. I am making some progress and hoping there will be even more progress this week! I just love my Dr. she is so sweet and takes her time. We are all so excited about this sweet bundle of joy coming, especially now that it is so close to time. Sarah said this morning that she just couldn't wait any longer, but she will have to wait a little longer. The voting on what you think this baby will be (boy or girl) has come to a close and the girl votes won! In 15 days (give or take) we will all know the right answer! It is amazing to know that God knows and has already ordained this baby's days.

I have officially started wearing Bryan's t-shirts and sweat shirts. They are much more comfortable and even fit better than my maternity tops. :) We are trying to do some things to prepare for baby and to get the house in some kind of order. I went to the grocery store last night in hopes of buying so in case this baby decides to come soon (which I really doubt will happen) my family will not go hungry. I have somewhat and to the best of my ability entered that nesting phase. Maybe just the fact that I want things done so I don't have to come home from the hospital trying to conquer all. I know Bryan will be a BIG blessing in taking care of the day to day things (as he already does) but I mean those things that only women think about. :) I go again this Friday for another appt. so I will try and update this weekend on any progress. We covet your prayers as we prepare for the baby's arrival, Labor and Delivery and for recovery.

See this sister....She loves her brothers!! She really would like a sister but if God chooses to bless us with another boy I do believe she will love him just as much as she loves the others. Timothy fell asleep on her the other night and she just ate it up!! If they are watching a movie together she wants him to lean on her and she puts her arm around him. She plays so well with the little boys and sometimes loves them crazy! She is such a blessing and such a great, fun and loving BIG sister!! God only knows what He has in store for our family and Sarah!

Pregnancy update....

I wanted to post this the other day but we headed to Alabama for Christmas with Bryan's family...so things have been busy and I have been out of pocket. So here is my update...

On Thursday I went to the Dr. and all was well. I was 35 weeks and doesn't look like we will have a baby anytime soon, which is great!! I start my every week visits now, so I will go back this next week for another check-up. The baby is moving alot and is doing so well! I will start to get the nursery ready in the next couple of weeks and then get things washed up for our new bundle of joy! By the way, only a few more days left to vote on if you think the baby is a boy or girl. So far the girl votes are in the lead. I think I will be totally surprised either way! I believe we have gotten a boy name and a girl name, but still praying for God to confirm those names or to give us the perfect name for this little one. I am amazed that in right at a month we will have a new baby and know what the baby is.

A Baby Shower!!

The sweet ladies in my Sunday School class gave me a baby shower and I was so encouraged! We had it at the home of one of the ladies so it was a very relaxed atmosphere. There was so many that came and just their being there was a big blessing. We received a ton of diapers and wipes, which is GREAT, and many other very nice things (blankets, baby wash, etc.). It was nice being with the ladies and having some time of fellowship. I am so thankful for each lady that came and for the blessings we received!! We have even received a few gifts from others at church, we feel so loved!

Going on a "Mommy Date"

As many of you know Sarah is our only girl at this time and she is such a sweetheart! Today I had a Dr. visit and took her with me so we could have a "Mommy Date". My appointment was at 8:30 so that meant we had to get gone early!! But for Sarah that is not a problem, she is already an early bird. I had a great check up and all is well with Baby Camp #5!!! The heart beat is between 145-150 and strong. The baby moves all the time and I just love that feeling. I am 33 weeks and 2 days and did you notice the baby ticker on the side bar of our blog?....That is less than 50 days to go!!!! I will say it again...."This baby will be here before we know it!". I still am not going to try and guess the sex of the baby, but I will say this, after 3 boys and 1 girl I just can't see it being a girl. Bryan thinks it is a girl and we do have a girl's name, but NO boy name!!! My next visit will be in two weeks and then I will start every week visits, see isn't that unreal. After my visit to the Dr., Sarah and I went and got a dozen doughnuts to take home, we only ate one before we got home. Then we did a little shopping for Christmas. Our final stop was lunch and I let Sarah choose where to go, she chose Cracker Barrel. It was a very good lunch but I do have to say the company was even better! I could go on all day with the many ways Sarah blesses me, but if you know Sarah I don't have to say a word...you already know. I am so thankful that God has blessed us with a little girl and if He chooses to give us another little girl that would be great and if He chooses for Sarah to be the only girl in a house full of boys, that will be great too!! I love you Sarah and enjoyed my morning with you!

A Mommy Date!

I had a Dr. appointment today and took Isaac with me. I thought this would be a good chance to have some one on one with the bigger kids before the baby came. I will take Sarah with me to the next visit. Isaac and I had a very great time together. He went to my check up with me and we heard the baby's heart beat. The baby is doing great and all is well! Praise the Lord! The Dr. said I was measuring 32 weeks, nothing to get anxious about though. I was 31 weeks this past Wednesday. Have you noticed the baby ticker on the side of the blog? We have right at 60 days to go!! The baby's heart beat was in the 140's. Still no guess of what the baby might be, boy or girl. I just am going to be totally surprised. For those of you who have voted boy would you please submit suggestions for a boy name. We somewhat have a girl's name but not the slightest idea of a boy name. We want it to be a biblical name and the meaning of the name is very important to us. Anyway, we are just getting more and more excited with each passing day! I did get a chance to talk with my Dr. about how she was doing and she seems to be focusing on God and the Truth of His Word! I prayed with her and was very encouraged. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for her. After the Dr. visit Isaac and I headed to Gamestop. He had gotten a gift card for his birthday and we went there to let him use that. Then we went to lunch and enjoyed just being together. My prayer is that he will never forget going on a Mommy Date and the time we had together.

Movie Night & Pregnancy Update

We had our first Family Movie Night at our new home this past Friday night. The kids loved it! Timothy is now wanting to be a part. He loves the popcorn and milkshake part the best! We usually do just one or the other but this time Daddy spoiled us and the kids got popcorn and then a milkshake. My dear hubby did so well at making me rest and enjoy the evening. All I see every day is the MANY boxes that need to be unpacked but he made sure that I didn't touch one box and that I enjoyed sitting back and drinking my milkshake! Thank you sweetie! Do you see our "popcorn" bowls? The kids love yogurt so we save the bowls to use later, as you can see they do come in handy. We use to have movie and milkshake night every Monday night but since football has come along that has not happened often. We were way over due. My prayer is these are the moments that will make memories for our children, the time we spend together.

On the pregnancy note: I went to the Dr. this past Thursday and had a great check up. This Wednesday I will be 28 weeks, that is 6 1/2 months. I had my glucose test at this visit and that come back great! The baby's heartbeat was in the 150's and very active! My Dr. also shared with me that she is expecting and is about 17 weeks. This will be her first baby and they are very excited!! Also there is a couple that has been visiting our church and she is expecting and come to find out we are using the same Dr. Isn't that neat!! Actually including me and that lady there are 7 of us at the church that are pregnant!! It is always fun to have someone else going through pregnancy with you. With Isaac there was another girl pregnant that I became good friends with and we were due 1 day apart. And then with the others there just seems to always be someone else that is pregnant too and we can stay in touch. Actually with Isaac, Bryan's older brother and his wife were expecting too. This time, Bryan's youngest brother and his wife are expecting...Fun!! We are so excited!

Pregnancy update....

I am 5 months (which is 23 weeks) pregnant today! I had my check up this morning and all is well! We heard the baby's heart beat and it was in the 150's. I love to hear that sound...you know that sound if you have children. Isn't it amazing? The Dr. I am seeing is precious and she is leaving to go into practice in another city. The great thing is is that I can follow her!! Yea! We have prayed about this and we feel that God has opened up this door for us. I had to make the decision to either follow her or choose another Dr. within this group she is with now. So beginning next month I will be driving a little further but I will still be able to use the same Dr.! Things are great here. The pregnancy is going very well. Believe it or not the more children you have the different things you experience. Because this is my 5th baby, the Braxton Hix contractions are a little more noticable and other things like that. We are praying about names for the baby and know that God will give us the right one. Sarah said the other night that she is OK if the baby is a boy. I just know that what ever God gives us will be exactly what we need! As you can see from the picture I do have a baby "bump". The kids are getting excited! Isaac, Sarah and Elijah have felt the baby move and they love it when they can feel that. Of coarse by belly button is sticking out by now. It is wild that my kids think that is one of the neatest things.

One last thing...to all my blogging buddies. How do you increase the font size of your headings on the side bar. Help!! I like to blog but don't know all the secrets! My headings on all my things even the date on my post seem sooooo much smaller than everyone else's.

Oh the weather has been so nice here lately. We are loving every minute of it and soaking in some sunshine. The kids have gotten out and rode their bikes alot. Elijah got a bike for his birthday and I was beginning to think he would never ride it, just too busy doing other things, but he has rode that little bike out this weekend. He loves being able to ride with the big kids and he does a really good job. Sarah has just now learned to ride with no training wheels. When we first took them off she was so upset. She was just determined that we just needed to get her another bike with training wheels, we informed her that that was not going to happen. Well she practiced for a few days and then had no interest in it at all. For her birthday we got her a scooter and that just took over the bike. She has not even thought about the bike since the scooter. On Saturday I encouraged her just to get her bike out and try riding it even if it was one time. Well of coarse, the tires on the bike were as flat as pancakes. So as soon as daddy could he aired those tires up and she hopped on that bike and has rode it all over the place. She has even asked to go out and ride her bike and hasn't rode the scooter since. Isaac loves being outside and would ride his bike til it was so dark out that he couldn't see anymore. He is the kid that loves to ride but enjoys it even more if he has someone to ride with. He is even doing those more experienced things (like "no hands", or standing up on the peddles, etc.). I thought for a while that he would be in to skate boarding but he seems to have stuck with the bike. I remember when he first started to learn how to ride with no training wheels, I thought we would never get it, that he would be too scared to learn, but I am so proud of him. Isaac does really well on his bike. While the kids were enjoying a day riding bikes my dear hubby was mowing the grass. He is such a great husband and does an excellent job of taking care of the yard and so much more. I could go on and on about all the many things he does to help us out and bless me. He is the greatest!

Pregnancy update: I will be 21 weeks this Wednesday! I know this is not a great picture of me but just wanted to let everyone know how much I was showing. This baby is moving so much and I love it!!! Sarah felt it move the other day and she was so excited. She is the first of the kids to feel it move. Again, it is so hard to believe that I am half way there! This baby will be here before we know it! Don't forget you can vote what you think the baby will be, boy or girl. Just look on the side bar of the blog and cast your vote.

Just a couple of things....

I forgot to mention in my last post that the Dr. said the baby weighed about 11 oz. That is one less once than a canned soft drink. Now run to the refrigerator and pick up a canned coke....imagine this baby weighing less than that. Isn't that amazing...only a God thing! That is something that I love about being pregnant and having children, I realize just how awesome God is and how amazing His works are. Only He could form this life inside of me and give it life and breath!! Thank You Lord, You truly are amazing!!

I have been reading this book called "The Legacy of Biblical Womanhood" and I highly recommend it! It has been a great book for me. The other day I read this in the book....

"Friends in Jesus strengthen one another in their obedience to Him. Friendships in Jesus are inclusive rather than exclusive. There is security in the relationship regardless of time, distance, and conflict. Friends are willing to inflict faithful wounds (Proverbs 27:6). Friendships are God's gracious gift to His children and should be celebrated."

Okay, when you read that I know that someone came to your mind, or I pray that they did. Who was it? Be thankful for them, those kind of friends are few and far between. Sure, we have lots of "friends" but there are those friends that are more. Friends that meet the description above. I am so blessed to have one of those friends. I hope she would say the same of me, but to me she truly is special.

Today I am 19 weeks pregnant! One more week and I will be 1/2 way through this pregnancy. Amazing how fast it has gone by! I went for a Check up yesterday and they did the BIG sonogram and we got to see our precious one!! We have never had a "higher" tech sonogram done, but today the lady just gave two snap shots in the "higher" tech mode and I have posted one of them. It is amazing what you can see! Tears came to my eyes, just knowing that this precious life from God is inside of me!! Yes, we ALL went and the kids did really well. They (Isaac and Sarah especially) loved seeing the baby! Now we are even more excited about holding he/she and giving she/he so much loving! Some of you know and some have asked....we are not finding out the sex of the baby. We have never known and would love for this one to be another surprise! Everyone is always amazed that we can wait, but once you have done it once it makes the others easier! It actually is fun watching and listening to everyone else guess and make their assumptions. I know and am sure it drives some people crazy (family) that would love to know what the sex of the baby is! So I have added a poll to the side bar of our blog and you can make your vote about what you think the sex of baby #5 will be. Please feel free to cast your vote and lets see how much fun this really is....someone is going to be right and someone will be wrong. The first 3 of our children we just had a feeling what they would be, but Timothy was a complete surprise. So I am not even going to try and figure this one out. :) Today at the check up the baby's heart beat was in the 150's and measuring right on time!

By the way, a precious friend of mine sent me a surprise package that I received on Monday...3 pairs of maternity capri pants! I am so excited and so blessed! I will definitely be getting the wear out of those! Thanks Kay!

A Sewing Project!

I have been wanting and needing some Blue Jean carpi's, did I mention maternity. So I thought that maybe I should splurge and buy some. Oh my, do you know how much maternity clothes cost? I ventured to the maternity store only to find out that the cost of maternity carpi's or shorts was $35. OUCH!!! Needless to say I left that store and said that I could just do without! Then it came to me that I could make my own! I went to the consignment sale that was going on here and purchased a pair of nice maternity blue jeans for $3 (that is more in my price range). I came home and put into practice the sewing know how that my mother-in-law and my mother have given me. I got out the scissors and cut those blue jeans off, got out the sewing machine and began sewing. Well, above I have posted pictures of the results. I thought for my first time they turned out pretty good (and even). What do you think?

Pregnancy note: I went to the Dr. last Thursday and we go to hear the heartbeat. It was so awesome! Everything is going very well. I will be 17 weeks on Wednesday and my belly is growing by the week!! LOL! I will go back the end of August for the big sonogram. Of coarse we will all go so that everyone can see the new family member. We will not be finding out the sex of the baby, so that will be a surprise. I will keep you posted! First Haircut

Actually it was a hair trim! :) Timothy has had this hair right on the back of his neck that was flipping up in a curl around his little ears. Don't get me wrong I thought it was cute, especially on him, but I did not want it to grow so long that it covered up his whole ear (I am sure it wouldn't have). So the other night before I put him in the bath tub, I gave him a little trim on the back. Now he looks like a little man!! Really he does look very clean cut and very neat.

On the pregnancy note: I think I have felt the baby move some. It is only those small little (like butterflies) moves I am feeling. I have been feeling better and only am sick a little each day. I am 14 weeks now and looking forward to that next Dr. visit. I also am wearing some maternity clothes already....this is my 5th pregnancy, I have to remind myself.

One last thing....we went to some friends house last night for supper. These friends go to our church and I realized that we have eaten at alot of people's house from the church. I love it and have enjoyed every one of them. Everyone that has invited us over has made us feel so welcome, the food was very delicious and the fellowship was more than sweet. Our family is looking forward to more times of fellowship with our church family!!

Pregnancy update...

This past Wednesday, July 14, I was 13 weeks pregnant. I have made it through the first trimester. I went to the Dr. on Wednesday for a check-up. We were suppose to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat, but could not hear it. The Dr. wanted to do a sonogram so that I didn't have to leave there worried. Of coarse I did not complain, I love when I get to see my baby!! We did a sonogram and got to see the heartbeat and that sweet little baby! So I will go back in about 3 weeks and we will try and hear the heartbeat again this time. One of the hard things this pregnancy is finding a new Dr., argh...! I loved the Dr. that I had in Alabama, and although he didn't deliver Sarah I still had a wonderful Dr. with her also. That is just something that means alot to me, having a good doctor. The Dr. I am seeing is very sweet and I have liked her but she told me on my first visit that she is leaving this practice in October. Which means that I will be back to square one...looking for a doctor. There are other doctors in the same practice and I will probably choose one of them to finish this pregnancy up with, but this has been a hard thing for me. I am praying that God would send me to the right Dr. and that God would use me to be a witness and a blessing to whomever takes care of me and the baby! But all is well with the baby and I. Hard to believe that I am a 1/3 of the way there. I will keep you updated...

Tonight was Sarah's first T-Ball game. Her teams name is Dodgers. We had fun and enjoyed watching her have a good time! She loves playing whatever and just has a good time. As you may know it is a challenge when we all go to the ball field. The boys think it is time to get DIRTY, and I guess they are right. Nothing that some soap and water want cleanse away. The boys had just as much fun playing as Sarah did playing in the game. We enjoyed being together as a family and watching Sarah play T-Ball.

Isaac's last day at basketball camp is Thursday and I hope to have pictures then.

On the pregnancy note...I will be 11 weeks tomorrow! I am still nauseated and running a very low fever. So when the nausea hits and the fever is on I feel like yuck!! But all is well and we are just so excited. The fever thing is nothing to worry about, I had one with Timothy too. It is about 99.2. My Dr. then told me as long as it did not get over 100 I should be ok. You know there is nothing like feeling the baby move for the first time and I am already looking forward to that and all those other great moments.
