Race 2014

These three were in the Kidstock 1-mile race on August 2nd in Anniston, AL. Isaac was in Tennessee with Bryan and was not able to make it.

Last year Sarah ran the race in 6:44 and placed 1st in her age group. This year Sarah ran the race in 6:32 and placed 2nd in all the girls!

Elijah ran last year also and did a great job. We are so proud of him for completeing the race this year!

This was Timothy's first race and he ran it in 8:52. He placed 2nd in his age group!

Training for the race was a little more challenging this year considering our living situation. :) God is good and gave us some days to train on the coarse while we were in AL the week before the race. Thankful that our children are healthy enough to complete a 1-mile race! Thank you God!

We are so proud of them but our goal is that they will achieve greater things for The Master!
1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

July 4th!

We got to spend the Fourth with some of Bryan's family. Here is a picture of our kiddos in their patriotic attire. :)
Here is Timothy and Levi in their matching shirts eating cupcakes.
All the kids love riding at Pop and Gigi's.
Here is Candice and me in our matching shirts. None of the matching was planned, but we thought it was neat.
Collin has a sweet smile.
Joanna relaxing in the pool...for a few seconds. :)
I think the kids stayed in the pool all day and had lots of fun! Sarah does such a great job playing with the little ones.
Elijah and Jameson have gotten to be big buddies recently.
Here is Timothy jumping in the pool. :)

We had a great time and thankful for all the memories we are making with Pop, Gigi, Rusty, Candice, Jameson, Levi, and Collin. Looking forward to more time with family!

Peyton's Baccalaureate

Our niece is the first of 10 grandchildren for Bryan's parents and also the first granddaughter. Hard to believe that she just started her first year of college. Peyton graduated this past May and the kids and I were able to attend her baccalaureate service. :) The picture above is when she was 11 years old.
Here is Gigi (Bryan's mother) with all the granddaughters at Peyton's baccrulearte. We love Peyton and just wished we got to spend more time with her...but we enjoy the times we do have with her.

Brick Being Laid!

Bryan and I went to Florence, AL to pick out brick. The man was very good about helping us with this decision. He took us to a nearby subdivision and showed us some of his brick on the houses. From that we picked out what we liked. It was great to be "shown" what a house with "this or that" type and color of brick will look like. Now if everything else was that nice.
How awesome to see the brick going on. It looks more and more like a house! Makes this family excited!! :)

Time in Alabama

The kids and I have been able to spend some time in Alabama with family while the house is being built. We have enjoyed every visit and are making lots of memories!
The kids pile in bed with Paw first thing in the morning. Thankful mom and dad have a king size bed. :)
We were there to help celebrate my dad's birthday!
Joanna helps Paw blow out the candles. We have also got to know and spend time with my parents' new neighbors. Samuel is the boy on the far right in the above picture.
Here is Sarah and Hannah, Samuel's sister. Thankful to have new friends and that my parents have good neighbors.
Joanna climbs in bed with "Sissy" at Paw and Maw's house. I know that God has given us these opportunities to spend lots of time with family that we would not have had had we not been rebuilding. God is so good!

We have also been able to attend our neices baccrulearte service and spend the Fourth of July with Bryan's family, will post those later.

Happy Birthday to my Girl!

I am almost a month late of posting a Birthday post for Sarah. She turned 11 last month and is growing so fast! Yes, she is almost taller than me (2 inches to go). I will admit that it is hard to imagine me looking up to my daughter...I am sure it will happen with all my children. :)
Sarah is the best sister a kid could have. As I type this she is playing with Timothy and Joanna. Letting them play with her Legos. She has the biggest heart, always thinking of others and wanting to do for them. She loves to read and cook.
Sarah, you will never know how much you mean to me, how much I love you, and how proud I am that you are my daughter. God has great plans for you and wants to use you for His glory! May you always know of our love for you and that God loves you more than we do! Thank you for the many times you bless me. You are becoming such a godly young lady and I am excited to be your mommy. I love you very much!
