Father's Day 2018

 We were able to spend some time with both our Father's for Father's Day. We took Bryan's dad out to eat. Bryan's dad enjoys spending time with Bryan and the boys (actually with all of us). Very blessed to have him!

I like having pictures of these guys! I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that my children have Bryan as their daddy. Our children would not be who they are if it wasn't for having Bryan as their daddy. He is such a godly father and does all he can to lead his family closer to the Lord. 

 I have a very special place in my heart for this man! He will never know how much he means to me and how much I love him!

He has made me laugh countless times and being with him is always an adventure. We are blessed to have both our dads still with us and it time with them is very special!

One More Birthday to Celebrate!

Our last birthday celebration this month is Bryan's! This man is more than I can put in words. He loves the Lord and desires to glorify God with every breath he takes. Bryan is a godly husband and father. We are very blessed that God created him just for us!

 Here is a picture of us taken recently. I love him more today than I did 22 years ago!

This is a family picture that my mother took Sunday before church. Bryan loves spending time with us and we love spending time with him! The children and I got him a few of his favorite snacks to enjoy during the week while he is at work. Bryan's greatest desire is to see others having changed hearts and God saving their souls. Thankful to have him in our lives and to celebrate another year! Bryan, we Love you very much!

2018 is Here!

I am sure it is hard for y'all to believe too...2018 is HERE! 2017 is gone and now its time to begin a new year and strive each day to live for the glory of God! On the mornings that Bryan leaves early for work before the children and I get up, I walk into the kitchen and find his Bible open with his glasses laid on top just like the picture above. This is where it is... our life is in His hands and He is beyond worthy of our worship. He deserves all of us, not just some but ALL!

I am not making resolutions this year I have decided to set goals instead each month and then reevaluate at the end of each month. I need to ask God what His plans and goals are for me and not just set my own. My first and greatest goal EACH month is to bring Him the most glory and honor!

21 Years Ago

On December 23, 1995, Bryan and I had our first "official" date! That was 21 years ago and I love that man more today than ever before! Very excited to spend the rest of my life with Bryan and I am looking forward to all that God has planned for us!

Birthdays!

We enjoyed celebrating Joanna's birthday last Saturday with grandparents! I hope to post those pictures soon! We also have celebrated mine and Bryan's birthday's this month. 

 Happy Birthday to my man!! I love him for so many reasons!!

Here is our 3 year old!! She had a GREAT birthday! We are so thankful to be able to celebrate birthdays...celebrate life this month!

Three Years!

That’s how long its been since Bryan and I have had a getaway together. Too long!! I was pregnant with Joanna and it was the week of Thanksgiving. Bryan did a great job planning that wonderful get away for us.

Then for Pastor Appreciation this month, four families in our church gave us a getaway and took care of our children. Bryan and I were gone for 2 days. It was nice and refreshing. I know that the kids were well taken care of. :) I enjoyed this time with Bryan and then we were both ready to see the kids and love on them when we returned home!

Our getaway was to Pickwick State Park. It was beautiful! The picture above was the view from our room. The state park is very nice.

We saw lots of boats and barges. The campgrounds were really nice. We both said that we would have to bring the kids back one day and make it a camping trip! :)

Bryan and I took our bikes and enjoyed riding through the state park. The bike ride was very nice and the weather was perfect!

It was so nice to not have to cook, clean, wash clothes, etc. for a couple of days. Trips like this make me love my family so much more!! :) It is good for our marriage and for our parenting.

17th Wedding Anniversary!!

This past Sunday, June 2, Bryan and I celebrated our 17 year wedding anniversary!! It has been the most wonderful 17 years of my life! He is the man of my dreams and all I could ever want in a husband!! I am so amazed that God would bless me with such a godly man! I could never have enough words to tell Bryan just how much I love him, but I will spend the rest of our life trying!!

Happy Anniversary Bryan!! I love you so much and look forward to spending many, many, many more years together!!

Tasty Tuesday: Chocolate Pie

We spend the majority of our time in the kitchen...we love to cook! Bryan and I both like to try new things and we have made some really good things and some really not so good things. :) Yes, Bryan loves to cook just as much as I do and he does a great job!

Thought I would share with you one of his "coking ideas". He made this at Christmas while my parents were here and it was a huge success.

Chocolate Pie!

Chocolate Pie

1 Deep Dish pie crust (baked by directions on package)
Chocolate graham crackers
Chocolate chips
1/4 cup of cocoa
1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of flour
1 egg
1 stick of butter
4 cups of milk
1 tsp of vanilla

Bake your pie shell. Mix cocoa, sugar, flour, and egg together. Then slice your butter and add to mixture. Next add your milk gradually and whisk together. Microwave for 5 minutes and whisk. Repeat til mixture is thickness you would like (you may have to do this 4 or 5 times). Then add vanilla and whisk together well. Pour half of your pudding mixture into pie shell and place crackers on top. Pour the rest of pudding mixture on and top with chocolate chips. Serve warm or refrigerate and then serve. Enjoy!!

A Look Back!

The end of March we will have been in Tennessee for 3 years! It has gone by supper fast!

 Anyway... Shortly after we came I attended a Women's conference with the ladies from SMBC. Such a wonderful time!! While I was there my wonderful hubby took care held the fort down. He took pictures of the children and sent them to me. I loved everyone that he sent and wanted to share them with you.

The reason I have not shared them with you already is that I never knew how to get them off my phone and on to the computer (I really don't know much about electronics). Recently we got me a new phone and the gentleman that was helping us could put the pictures from my old phone onto my new phone!! I was so excited! So the only thing I figured out to do was to email them to myself....so here they are....

This is Isaac hanging out in our bed. Isn't that such a sweet smile?

Right after we moved one of the ladies from our church brought us some goodies. Two of those goodies was pecan pies....Chocoate chip pecan pies. We love pecan pies but wasn't sure about chocolate chip pecan pies. OH MY is all I can say!! We could warm up a piece and it would just melt in your mouth!!

Bryan sent me the above picture of him eating the last piece of the pie. Isn't he so thoughtful! LOL!!

Timothy was having mommy withdrawals! :) He didn't cry the whole time I was gone...he was done and ready to get down.

Remember when I posted about the boys in their Daddy's cowboy outfit? If you missed that post you can read it here. I had mentioned that I am sure Bryan was just as cute in the cowboy outfit when he was wearing it. Well, when my Mother-in-law came for Joanna's birthday she brought me this picture!!! I was so excited!!

These words are just a few to describe the man of my dreams! Bryan had a birthday today and the kids and I have done all we could to make him feel as special as he makes us feel! So thankful that God brought us together 16 1/2 years ago.  Happy Birthday Bryan, I love you more today than ever before!!

Here is the cake that Bryan and Sarah made for me for my birthday! He cooked me supper and it was all so delicious! Bryan and the kids went above and beyond to make my birthday such a wonderful day! Thanks so much!! I love each of you very much! :)

Another Cowboy

I took a picture of Timothy in the cowboy outfit and wanted to post. The cowboy outfit was Bryan's when we was a little boy! :) As I was preparing to post this picture I remembered that I had posted a picture of Elijah and Isaac (3 years ago) in the outfit here. A Hunter

Isaac loves being outside and anything that he can do outside. We decided this year it would be good for him to take the "Hunter's Safety Coarse". Bryan and Isaac took this together and they learned so much! There was a class Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights with the test being on Friday night. Then Saturday morning each person got to shoot and then received their certificate if they passed. Both of my men passed and are now ready to get their hunting license.

Here is Isaac having some target practice in the back yard. He has enjoyed this so much and even participated in a Turkey shoot last weekend. He won a ham and a turkey. Isaac was so proud that he had provided meat for the family! :)

A couple of weeks ago Isaac was able to go hunting with our Pastor, Bro. Jono. They didn't get anything but it was good for Isaac to be able to go and have that experience.

Florida is on the move!!

I just LOVE this picture! A lady behind them ask to take a picture of them. :)

So how did this come about? On Sunday October 7th, a man from our church came to Bryan and said that he had two tickets to the Vandy and Florida game. He was not going to be able to go and wanted to give them to Bryan so that he and Isaac could go together. WOW!! Isaac is a huge Florida fan this year! We did not say anything to Isaac, we wanted it to be a surprise!

During the week Isaac said that he would love to go to the Vandy- Florida game since it was only an hour away from us, but he knew that tickets were expensive. On the morning of the game, October 13, before breakfast we gave Isaac an envelope and told him that this was for him. He thought it was a letter from someone. When he opened it he was so excited! (wish I knew how to post the video I took of this)

Him and Bryan had so much fun! We are not huge football fans but we know that Isaac loves it. Isaac has blogged about the game too, here. I encourage you to go there and see what he has to say about this event, he even tells you the final score! :)

A project with Daddy

Bryan decided to teach the four big kids how to make sling shots. From cutting the boards, preparing the rubber bands, then making the pouch, and putting it all together. The kids love them, especially the boys. The day I took these pictures Timothy was still down for a nap. Bryan has also explained safety and rules while using these things! :) It was a fun learning moment for the kids.

Graduation

Graduation was on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Bryan's parents and grandmother came down on Friday night and we were able to have supper with them.

Our Saturday was pretty busy but a good one. Bryan's parents and Grandmother left after graduation. My parents were able to stay til Sunday morning. We are so proud of Bryan and so thankful that God has allowed him this accomplishment.
