Still Here!

I have had NO interenet service for two weeks!! We are at my parents today and I thought I would give a update on our family.

The people we have been staying with are AMAZING!! We feel at home more than I thought we ever could at someone's home that is not family. :) The kids have had so much fun hanging out with and getting to know Uncle David and Aunt Sandra.

We are moving into our new home this Monday!! So excited!! Orginally we thought it would take longer for the man to move out but we has been busy and will officially be moved out this weekend!

We are in Alabama for a 20 year Anniversary at the church Bryan and I were married at. The church moved to its current location in 1993 and Bryan was the first Youth Pastor. It is the church that I came to know the Lord in (Jesus changed my heart in 1995). Bryan and I were married in 1996 and Bryan was ordained in 1997 at the church. Bryan was asked to come and preach at the 20 year Anniversary and we are looking forward to being there.

Once we get moved in and a little settled in I plan on blogging again with pictures and all!! :)

Transition Update!

Wanted to take a moment and update on our "Transition" (or move).

Our New Ministry: We are so glad to be at OK Baptist Church and look forward to serving with the people there. We have gotten to know some really sweet and Godly people there. There are still many more families to get to know and we pray that in time we will be able to do just that.

We Miss: We all have missed our church family at SMBC! I miss my Ladies Sunday School class! The kids miss their friends!! Bryan misses the youth group that he had gotten close to. We are so thankful for the families we met and were friends with at SMBC.

Our New Home: We closed on our home in Unionville May 31 and have to be out of here by June 15th!! We have been packing up and moving for three weeks now. Prayerfully we will close on our new home this coming Friday! It will still be some time before we can move in, we are giving the man time to move out. So for about 3 weeks we will be on an adventure of visiting family and friends! :) We will be in Alabama for about two weeks!

If it is a long time before I get to blog again, I have not gotten lost in this sea of boxes, we are in transition. :)

Whole Wheat Blueberry Rolls

Thursday was my Dad's 60th birthday and he asked me to make him some blueberry rolls to take to work. I was very happy to do that for him and honored that he would ask me. So I thought I would share the recipe with you on here.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Rolls
For the dough I use the same recipe that I use for my whole wheat cinnamon rolls.
Then when you roll out the dough sprinkle it with sugar in the raw (as much as to your liking). Next place fresh or thawed blueberries on top, Make sure you cover the dough with the blueberries. Then follow the rest of the cinnamon rolls recipe. Enjoy!!

Hope this makes sense and if not please let me know! :)

Happy Birthday, Dad!!

Piano Recital

Saturday morning Isaac and Sarah had a piano recital. Since the grandparents were here we thought we would make a day of fun and memories. Our day started at Shelbyville Mills Baptist Church where we listened to Isaac and Sarah display the things they had learned during their piano lessons during the past year and a half.
Sarah started taking piano while we were in Alabama. So when we came to Tennessee we wanted her to continue those lessons. We had a very hard time finding someone. Then God sent us a sweet lady in our church that plays the piano at SMBC. Mrs. Jenny has been wonderful! Sarah enjoys the piano and has done very well!
Isaac taking piano lessons started out with him wanting to take guitar lessons. We told him he had to take a few months of piano before we would allow him to take piano lessons. One and a half years later he has done so good at piano and loves it!

Isaac and Sarah have learned so much from Mrs. Jenny and have made a dear friend. We are so proud of Isaac and Sarah and thankful for Mrs. Jenny's time and dedication. Our prayer is that we will be able to find a good piano teacher in Lawrenceburg for our kids.

A Party for Elijah!

Saturday was Elijah's birthday party and we had so much fun and made lots of memories!! Here is the birthday boy with his cake!
I will be the first to admit that it is not the best cake I have ever done, but not to bad considering we are in the middle of moving. LOL!! He loved it and that is what I wanted!
Elijah doesn't have any trouble making sure I know what he wants. So he drew me this picture of what he wanted his cake to look like. He likes the tiered cakes and then he requested that it have stars on it. Elijah is not really into a favorite thing or character so the stars worked perfectly!
My parents came up on Friday night and spent the night with us. Here is Isaac and my dad. I didn't get any pictures of my mother, so that means the next time they come I need to take twice as many of her. :)
Bryan's parents came up Saturday morning. Here is a picture of Gigi and Joanna playing together.
I had to get a picture of Timothy! He was so funny...every time Elijah opened a present he would ask "Why didn't I get that for my birthday?"
Elijah gave BIG hugs for his gifts! He got some very nice things!
Pop and Elijah. We are so thankful that Pop and Gigi got to come and celebrate with us!!
Here is Timothy helping Elijah open his presents.
Elijah is 6 now and is growing into a young man quickly! He is 110% boy!! I am amazed that him and Isaac are different yet so much alike. Isaac likes sports but Elijah really doesn't have an interest. Elijah can melt your heart one minute and keep you on your toes the next. I see God already working in his life and heart. God has great plans for this little man and I am looking forward to seeing him live out those plans. God has blessed us with Elijah and we are thankful for the joy and blessing he is to our family!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELIJAH!!

Elijah Turns 6!!

Our middle child turned 6 this past Friday! He is growing up sooo very fast! These first pictures are of him on his 5th birthday.

Then the pictures below are of him this year on his 6th birthday!
On each child's birthday we take them out to eat at the restaurant of their choice. Elijah chose Chili's this year and that is where he chose last year also! He loves that they bring him a dessert! :)
We all had a great lunch and enjoyed every minute of being together as a family!!
Elijah is a very special little man and I am so very blessed to be his mother!! I would encourage you to read my previous posts on him. Just look on the right hand side of the blog and under About Us click on Elijah! You will get to know him through those post and see the delightful child he is! :) Happy Birthday Elijah!! I love you very much!
