Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument

Our next stop was Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in Montana. This was very educational; I believe we all learned something.
Isn't this view gorgeous?!
We tried to come up with Indian names for us...that was lots of fun! At this stop we were able to watch a short video of a reenactment of the Battle of Little Bighorn. Very glad we were able to make this short but educational stop on our trip.

Mount Rushmore

Our third stop on the Yellowstone Trip was to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. This was one of those moments where you have seen this a hundred times in text books but now you are really there! It was great!!
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln
It has been great to see the kids faces light up when they see a picture like this in their school books and they can say "We have been there!". I am very thankful that God provided and allowed us to take this trip as a family.
We had a great time! A few hours here and it was time to load up and head to our next destination.

One More Birthday to Celebrate!

Our last birthday celebration this month is Bryan's! This man is more than I can put in words. He loves the Lord and desires to glorify God with every breath he takes. Bryan is a godly husband and father. We are very blessed that God created him just for us!
Here is a picture of us taken recently. I love him more today than I did 22 years ago!
This is a family picture that my mother took Sunday before church. Bryan loves spending time with us and we love spending time with him! The children and I got him a few of his favorite snacks to enjoy during the week while he is at work. Bryan's greatest desire is to see others having changed hearts and God saving their souls. Thankful to have him in our lives and to celebrate another year! Bryan, we Love you very much!

The Badlands National Park

Our second stop on our Yellowstone trip was to the Badlands National Park, South Dakota. It was beautiful! Amazing that this beautiful landscape is here in the USA. It had been raining so we weren't sure what we would find when we arrived. As we entered the park the first pull off spot we came to we saw this double rainbow! AMAZING is all I can say!

Our campground for this stop was in the middle of all these beautiful mountains. We took lots of pictures and I would post all of them but for now I thought these were the ones I would share.
Bryan and the children. I had taken clothes for cold weather while we were at Yellowstone but weather got cold when we arrived at the Badlands. Had to pull out those warm clothes right from the start. The wind was really blowing and it was a cold wind.
Sarah really like the color scheme of the mountains. They were beautiful!
This was what the view was like all around our camp site. We camped at Cedar Pass Campground. No water hookups. We were only there for one night, so that wasn't a problem for us.

Evidence of our GREAT and AWESOME God is all around us!

Our Trip Begins in St. Louis. Missouri

When I posted pictures for my birthday post it dawned on me that I haven’t posted pictures of our trip to Yellowstone. I wanted to do that but things have been pretty busy (aren’t we all)…better later than never. LOL!

Bryan and I had talked about taking the children on this trip but just didn’t know when it would happen. Through some God ordained timing we decided to go last May (2017). I am talking about it just happened and we knew about 2-3 weeks before we left that this was when God wanted us to go. We had a pop up camper that we had bought in June 2016 and knew that is what we would take on our trip so we could camp along the way.

Before we left on our trip we gave each of the children a specific place that was on our agenda to stop, their job was to research that place and report to the family about that particular place. They learned so much by doing this. Of coarse we paired them up into groups so the older children could help the younger ones.

Our first stop was St. Louis, Missouri. It was crazy that day, there was a big baseball game going on and a few graduations, which meant this would be a quick stop. We also were pulling the camper through this city…not an easy task. We enjoyed getting to see the Gateway Arch. You can ride up in the Arch but we didn’t get to that day, maybe another day. (The picture above was taken by Isaac.)

Another Birthday to Celebrate!

The next birthday in January is mine. Bryan and the children are always so good about making my birthday very special. They always make me feel like a queen. This year they had me a treasure hunt to go on and a little gift with each clue, Sarah made supper, and they each made me feel very special!
Here is a picture of me and my wonderful blessings! This was taken in May 2017 on our trip to Yellowstone. I am very blessed to have them call me mom!
This man is the best! He always goes above and beyond to make every day special but especially my birthday! His birthday is the next one we celebrate! Can't wait to let him know how special he is!

I had a wonderful birthday and am very blessed!

Our Baby is 7!

In January we have three birthdays to celebrate and the first one is Joanna's! This precious gift is a joy and blessing to us all!
Here she is around a year old
Here she is at 6
 Here she is at 2
This one is at age 4
Being silly at age 5

We had a great time celebrating her birthday and are looking forward to celebrating with grandparents soon! She is full of laughter and loves to make others smile. Joanna is a great sister and is loved by each of her siblings! I can't imagine life without her. I am blessed to have her call me mom! Praying the Lord will grow her into a godly woman, that He would live through her and be glorified in her life. Thank you Lord for Joanna.

2018 is Here!

I am sure it is hard for y'all to believe too...2018 is HERE! 2017 is gone and now its time to begin a new year and strive each day to live for the glory of God! On the mornings that Bryan leaves early for work before the children and I get up, I walk into the kitchen and find his Bible open with his glasses laid on top just like the picture above. This is where it is... our life is in His hands and He is beyond worthy of our worship. He deserves all of us, not just some but ALL!

I am not making resolutions this year I have decided to set goals instead each month and then reevaluate at the end of each month. I need to ask God what His plans and goals are for me and not just set my own. My first and greatest goal EACH month is to bring Him the most glory and honor!
