A fun filled Saturday!

Our morning started out at Woodstock/Kidstock. Isaac would run his first race. He was so excited and was the first one up at our house and ready to go quickly. The race started at 8:30 a.m. and would be a one mile race. There was a couple of boys from church that was in the race also. This made it all the more fun. How exciting! As we had been preparing for the race the past couple of weeks Isaac's best time was around 11 minutes. Our thoughts were that at best he could do the mile in 9 minutes or so. Isaac crossed the finish line in 8 minutes and 12 seconds!! We are so proud of him. We are tickled that he was able to do this and do his best! Isaac received a yellow Finishers ribbon and came in 42nd out of about 200 kids.

Next we loaded up and headed to Home Depot to do the Kids project. We have tried to take the kids when we can to Home Depot or Lowe's and let them "work" on a project, of coarse with Dad's help. They always have so much fun and we love to see the final project. This morning the project was a message board. How cute!

Then our day came to a close as we celebrated our nephew's 1st birthday!! It is so hard to believe that he is one. Last year when we visited them at the hospital I was expecting Timothy but did not know it yet, isn't that wild! My kids loved watching him open presents and they enjoyed eating a hotdog and cake. Then it was time to head home and get to bed. Elijah fell asleep on the way home, he was partied out! It was a long and full day but so much fun!!
