Testing and the results

Our goal in home schooling has never been for our children to be WAY above their grade level, but we do want them to be where they are suppose to be. In April I gave Isaac and Sarah a Standard Acheivement Test. Testing them is a way for us to know if they are learning all that they need to and for us to make sure they are where they are suppose to be for their grade level. I have been a little nerous about their results just because I am their teacher! I was even a nervous wreck the week we did the testing because I couldn't help them, not at all! So let me give you a little information about Isaac and Sarah and then I will give you their results.

Isaac is in the 4th grade but doing 5th grade Math. His birthday is late summer so he could actually be in the 5th grade but would be a very young 5th grader. The results for his test are: he scored an above average 4th grader and his grade equivalent is 6th grade 7th month! WOW!! I am so proud!

Sarah is in the 3rd grade and is a young 3rd grader because she also has a summer birthday. The results for her test are: she scored an above average 3rd grader and her grade equivalent is 5th grade 5th month! I am so excited that they have done so well! Just had to share! Makes this momma a very happy momma! :)
