2015 Mission Trip to Washington

Bryan, Isaac, Sarah, and I had the opportunity to travel to Spokane, Washington for a mission trip with our church. The kids and I have never been on a mission trip so we were very excited about this. Bryan and I have always said that we look forward to the day we can go on mission trips with the kids.
This was Isaac and Sarah's first plane ride. I am very thankful that I was there to experience it with them. They were nervous but handled it very well.
I am crazy about this man. I love serving our God with him and look forward to many more years of serving Him together!
Here is Sarah with Kimberly from our church that went with us. They are boarding the plane.
In Washington we led a VBS for a church there. Here is a picture of some of the children during VBS.
During the worship rally of VBS
Recreation during VBS
Bryan and Isaac led the recreation. Sarah and I taught 3-4th graders. This is a picture of our class...all girls. :)
Here is our crew with the pastor of Crestline Baptist Church and his wife.
On the flight home we flew over the Grand Canyon. Beautiful! God is amazing and His creation is beautiful!!
We took lots of pictures from the plane. Here are some clouds that we saw. Amazing!
One afternoon after VBS we were able to go to a local park and sight see.
We look forward to going on other mission trips and with the other kids when they get older. One day all seven of us will be able to go and serve the Lord and others together!

The BIG 4-0!

I will admit that I have not been overly excited about turning 40. :) It is hard to believe that I am there. My mother was 40 when Bryan and I got married...I can't imagine having a child getting married this year. LOL!!
So here is my final attitude about being 40...Every day (year) with Jesus is sweeter than the day (year) before!! I am looking forward to ALL that God has in store for me this next year and I am so thankful to be spending another year with Bryan and our wonderful children...Jesus, Bryan, children...life couldn't get any better!

Happy Birthday Sarah!

Sarah turned 12 in July. She got to celebrate while we were in Washington on a mission trip. :) This is the cake that the church we were doing VBS at got her, it is carrot cake...Sarah's favorite!
Yes her birthday fell during the week we (Bryan, Isaac, Sarah, and I) were on a mission trip. Can't wait to share about that soon. Sarah is such a special young lady and it has been a joy to watch her grow into the young lady she is today. She is as tall as me, we are wearing the same size clothes, but she wears a bigger size shoe than I do. :) Loving every minute I get to spend with her. She has the biggest heart and is very loving and giving. Sarah is a joy and blessing to our family. She enjoys cooking, crafts, and art. We have let her cook more and even plan a few of the meals. Our favorite that she has made recently is chicken enchiladas! YUMMM! Thank the Lord for this precious gift from above. We love you Sarah!

Timothy Was Hungry

We had a man in our church to pass away. As a family we went to the funeral home to love on the family. Our plans were to go straight and grab a bite to eat when we left the funeral home. While waiting in the line at the funeral home Timothy informed me that he was hungry, I simply let him know that we were almost done and then we would be going to eat. A few minutes passed and Timothy looked up at me and said "There's going to be another funeral mom...I am so hungry." :)

Happy Birthday to Joanna!

Yesterday we celebrated Joanna's birthday as a family! She turned 5!
Each of the other children got her a gift. They enjoy giving presents to each other.
She is one loved little girl! She requested fried eggs for her birthday breakfast.

Made her chocolate cupcakes with pink icing.
After lunch we sang "Happy birthday ". I am so humbled that God would allow me to have 5 children and get to spend each day with them. My cup runneth over!!!!
Then we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Took a walk in the woods, played on the play ground, and...
Spent time with the animals. Such a great day!! Thank you Lord!!

Joanna is Creative!

Joanna took an old belt and made a baby doll sling...that's what I call creative! :)
She did a great job. Proud of this little girl! She will be 5 tomorrow! I can't believe it! Already missing her being a baby. :(

Elijah Turns 8!

Last May we celebrated Elijah's 8th birthday! He chose to have lunch at Burger King and he enjoyed wearing his crown all day. :)
We also celebrated with grandparents and was able to enjoy some time with them. Elijah was very blessed with some great gifts!
They have the Legos built and are playing with them. Love this picture of them enjoying being together .
Time for cake and ice cream...Elijah's favorite part! He is a special young man and I am so blessed to be his mom!
Thank you Lord for allowing me to be Elijah's mom. I pray that You use me to bless him and train him up in the way he should go.
